Herbs for Womb Health

Herbs for Womb Health

Today, I wanted to share some herbs that will nourish your womb, hormones, and support fertility that I don’t normally speak about. Even if you don’t want to become pregnant, it is so important to be supporting your hormones as it is a vital sign of health. I think a lot of people have become afraid of the word ‘fertile’ and that is part of why I used it in my business name. Being fertile is a positive physical state.

Herbs for Your Womb

Shatavari

The 'Queen of Herbs' in Traditional Ayurvedic medicine. This plant has been used since the bronze age as a reproductive tonic. It is nourishing & purifying to the uterus. Also, supports LH production which stimulates ovulation and cervical mucus. Used through the hormonal phases of a woman's life from conception to breastfeeding to menopause.

How to Use: as a tincture, tea, powder, capsule, etc.

Contraindication: kapha dosha, diuretic drugs, estrogen conditions, pregnancy

Moringa

A highly nutritive herb helping to properly nourish your body & blood. Moringa is high in Vitamin C which supports progesterone progesterone (whole food not synthetic). The mineral content will help build your blood in TCM perspective which is necessary for a healthy period & fertility.

How to Use: add to food, powder, capsule, infusion, etc

Contraindication: pregnancy

Rosehips

Antioxidant & vitamin c packed, rosehips are wonderfully supportive for the whole body as well as the womb. The astringent nature of rosehips makes them beneficial for women with heavy bleeding & endometriosis. The rose plant from the buds to the flowers helps support the emotional body. Opening & softening the heart.

How to Use: tea, tincture, syrup, capsule, etc

Contraindication: pregnancy, breastfeeding, diuretics

Goji

A TCM herb that is used for dryness & blood deficiency (think of it like nutrient deficiency).

Incredible for overall healthy, graceful aging, and reproduction. It can support uterine lining thickness, aid implantation, improve circulation to the uterus. Goji can also support the pituitary gland which releases LH & FSH essential for having an ovulation. (also amazing for men's fertility by raising sperm levels & health)

How to Use: add to food, make juice, tea, tincture

Contraindication: diabetes, blood pressure

Blessings,

Emily
